The right candidate will be willing and able to:
- Prepare complex tax returns and perform tax research
- Respond to tax notices from taxing authorities
- Review tax information supplied by the client and will meet with and/or contact client regarding general or complex tax questions
- Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues and make recommendations
- Adapt to the company’s practices, policies, and culture
What You’ll Need:
- 3-5 years of prior experience
- CPA certified or CPA candidacy required
- Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Diligent work ethic and dedicated to providing superior client service
- Possess integrity, be trustworthy, dependable, and a team player with a cooperative attitude
- Excellent communication skills – oral, written, and interpersonal with the ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner to upper level team members and clients
- Strong client engagement skills
- Must be proficient in corporate, partnership, and individual tax planning and compliance
- Ability to prepare interim and annual financial statements, including adjusting journal entries
- Experience in managing multiple client engagements at the same time
- Prior basic supervisory experience is preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is required
- Lacerte or Prosystems accounting software is preferred but not required
